Dr. Philip Kim is an educator, speaker, consultant, and author. As the son of first-generation Korean immigrants, Phil learned the value of hard work and the importance of education at an early age. He spent time working at every type of business his parents had, from diners and restaurants to convenience stores.
After overcoming educational hurdles, Phil went on to become the vice president of information security for a multi-billion dollar financial services organization. Despite his earlier struggles, he found that through hard work, he was back on the path to success. Since that time, his work has been published in over 20 academic journals, and he has received invitations to present his research at national and international conferences.
Phil’s own success has inspired him to help others achieve their dreams. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge that no matter the odds, determination and focus will allow you to meet your goals.
His first book, Big Business Problems: Small Business Solutions (2012) was used as a text for his MBA technology course.
His second book, Chase One Rabbit: 10 Habits that Move You from Failure to Success (2014) is dedicated to helping individuals create better lives for themselves.
His latest book, Zebras & Ostriches: 5 Simple Rules to Engage and Retain Your Best People (2015) is for leaders who want to engage their employees.
Phil continues to lecture at Walsh University as a business professor.
