I was at a networking event this morning sponsored by the Canton Chamber of Commerce. I enjoy being involved in the community, so as my schedule allows, I try to attend these events.
On my drive into work this morning, I heard the radio host attribute this following quote to TD Jakes:
“A setback is a setup for a comeback.”
It’s been over 7 years since Randy Pausch died in July 2008.
I had first heard of Randy Pausch in 2002 while I was in grad school at Robert Morris University. This was a few years before he had learned of his death-dealing diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Randy is probably most famous for his “Last Lecture” he gave to his students and colleagues at Carnegie Mellon University in 2007.
We’ve been in Ohio for over 5 years now.
In some ways it feels like we just moved here, but in other ways I can’t imagine the boys growing up in another house or neighborhood.
When we moved in to our current house in July 2010, there was a long vetting process.
