Have you ever felt like giving up?
Even when I get up in the morning, the first thing I think is, “oh man, I can’t wait to go back to bed.”
Not everyday, but today was one of those days.
It’s ok, we all drift and backslide into our old ways when we’re stressed, anxious, over-taxed, or just plain lazy.
This is not unusual. It’s called being human.
But it’s not where you start that determines your destination. It’s where you stop.
So don’t give up. Don’t stop.
It’s ok to take a breather every now and again. I did. I’m over it now. It’s time to get back on the steps and start climbing.
I am going to be working on my outline for my book. I don’t have a title yet, but I think that’s going to bear itself out from my outline.
A fun exercise that I’m going to be doing is writing out my main ideas onto index cards and then laying those cards out on my table to see what themes pop out.
I got this idea from Austin Kleon’s book Steal Like An Artist.
Tonight, I take yet another step in the right direction.
You should too.
